Training and background
I completed my counselling training here in Southend over 5 years and a further year in London. I have worked therapeutically with children and adults on a range of issues such as abuse, self harm, self esteem issues, cultural issues, sexuality, family and depression, anxiety and serious illness. I myself have survived divorce, serious illness, bereavement and more. My life experiences help me to have empathy and not judge in any way but to help you to move forward to a more fulfilled life.
I have extensive knowledge and experience in working with people with physical disabilities, autism and with young people. I received the Jack Petchey Award for Outstanding Leadership with Young People.
I am BACP endorsed trained to use hypnotherapy with my clients for a range of issues such as low-self esteem and sleep issues.
I taken part in training with the charity 'YoungMinds' on the issues of self-harm and I have a deep understanding of why young people carry out acts of self-harm and the impact it has on their families.
